WHO WE ARE

The Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) is one of the leading European centres in environmental studies, distinguished by its international focus and multi-disciplinary base. ICTA-UAB hosts one of the very early research and teaching initiatives in ecological economics and political ecology in the world, and is developing cutting edge research on socio-economic dimensions of environmental change and policy.

WHAT WE DO IN STACCATO

The ICTA-UAB staff contributes to several objectives of the STACCATO project, focusing on its socio-cultural aspects. In particular the group will undertake activities of multi-stakeholder consultation, with contributions to the assessment of cultural ecosystem services, and to the identification of values involved in relevant trade-offs between provisioning services and regulating services.
